Sound Sensabilities™ Children CD
In my bio I wrote about Scarlett's sound sensitivity to just about everything. Turns out the sound of children is one of the noises that sent her to a fearful state. In a way, it makes sense. Children can be terrifying to a dog that has no positive socialization experience with them! They scream, squeal, and giggle differently from adults. They are a totally different life form. This CD has helped Scarlett tremendously. We can walk in the park next to the playground containing dozens of kids without eliciting a fearful response. She just prances on by!

Sound Sensabilities™ Dogs CD
Does your dog give you a heart attack as he takes off barking every time he hears a dog on TV or in the neighborhood? Cricket USED to. I lived when this problem for 8 years! After a couple of weeks of playing this CD, I no longer have a problem.
These sounds have also helped Scarlett with her fear of dogs. The ability to behave normally around the sound of dogs barking at you all day makes a few random barks on walks less fear eliciting.

Preparing Fido for Baby CD
When and if I have a baby, I'll definitely be getting this CD. Since a fearful dog can easily harm a baby, I recommend clients take every step to prevent a horrible accident. Getting your dog used to these types of sounds before baby arrives is key.

Sound Sensabilities™ Car Trip CD
Scarlett used to hate the car. She'd get so nauseous she'd drool and then vomit all over! While I think the vibrations of the car caused this reaction, I occasionally play traveling car sounds in the house to decrease the likelihood these types of sounds contributed to her problem. Overall she's 85% better. She doesn't love the car like Cricket but at least she voluntarily jumps in, she's not barfing, and she actually sits up to look out the window when the car stops moving. I don't think playing these sounds alone resulted in drastic improvement, but they certainly couldn't have worsened the problem, so why not?

Sound Sensabilities™ Cars and Trucks Audio CD
This CD is worth every penny! I live in a suburb of DC, down the street from a very busy road and a train station. Needless to say, there are sirens, horns, and other city sounds going off all day long. Gradually building up the volume of these sounds has made my life so much easier. Neither dog reacts to these types of obnoxious noises inside or outside the house.
-
Sound Sensabilities™ Fireworks CD
With all the sounds Scarlett was fearful of when I started with her, ironically, fireworks were not one of them. However, I play sounds of fireworks for her almost every day to protect against the day she decides fireworks are the worst noises ever.
-
Sound Sensabilities™ Guns CD
I don't plan on taking my dogs hunting but I do get asked about desensitizing dogs to gun sounds. As with any sounds that have the potential to really scare a dog without a proper gradual introduction paired with a pleasurable event, I recommend playing gun sounds over a stereo system. Sound Sensabilities™ Kitchen and Vacuum CD
In my bio I wrote about Scarlett's sound sensitivity to just about everything. Turns out common household sounds sent her flying to a different room to hide. Since I started playing this CD for her, she no longer runs in terror from the vacuum or any other house hold noises. Occasionally she'll run when she hears food sizzling on the stove, but that's a different story. The next puppy I get, I'll prevent this from happening by playing these sounds for him or her from day one.

Sound Sensabilities™ Thunderstorm Audio CD
Believe it or not, neither of my dogs are fearful of storms. To keep it that way I play storm sounds for them. It is amazing what you can do to prevent development of noise phobias. Check out the link below for details.
